Verdant Brewing and the team at Hand Bar in Falmouth kicked off an intimate, friendly festival of beer last year that we all fell in love with. A one day event, with 15 of our friends and peers from the industry, this was more than just a beer festival, but a chance to meet, socialise and drink with the founders and brewers behind the beers.
Having beers with the DEYA and Verdant guys after the festival we hatched a plan. To share the festival between our locations, and for each brewery to take turns carrying the torch and currating the festival line up in the years to come. 2018 is the turn of Left Handed Giant, and we are massively excited by the group of breweries we've pulled together. The 3 organisers obviously feature, with a mix of young, upstart UK breweries, sour producers (who will feature in our "koelchip corner"), established UK leaders and world class internationals. We'll be releasing the list of breweries over the coming weeks.
The format of the festival is simple. We'll hold 2 sessions on Sat 28th July, between 1130am and 4pm and 530pm and 10pm. Tickets cost £12, for which you get a festival branded glass and £10 worth of beer tokens. Further tokens can be purchased on the day. We'll have street food traders in attendance and DJ's playing all day. Most breweries will be pouring 4 beers each, so there will be around 60 beers to pick from over the course of your 4 and a half hour session.
You'll recieve a branded festival glass as part of your ticket price but there are also bespoke fesival T-shirts available to buy as part of your ticket purchase. These will not be available on the day, they are only for sale during your ticket purchase. They will be available for collection upon your entry to the festival.
